Investing in your business is a big decision! Before I sign with a client, I like to chat about their brand and what they need from a photographer to make sure we are a great match! A great experience is about more than just pretty pictures!

Once your contract is signed and retainer paid, we will get a planning meeting on the books. Every package includes a pre session consultation to explore your brand strategy, build your shot list and brainstorm locations, clothing, and props, among other things. 

Headshots, lifestyle images, flat lays, workspace, behind the scenes – brand sessions are about creating a cohesive and authentic image library that engages with your audience!

The day you have been waiting for!! Your gallery is delivered by online gallery in both high resolution and web ready sizes so you are prepared to wow your customers and take your web presence to the next level!

why a planning meeting?

Early on in my journey with branding photography, I was approached to do a shoot for a local boutique. Several vendors were collaborating, including a popular salon and air brush tanning specialist.

Sounds fun right?! They had everything planned out, all I had to do was show up. 

Well, the day of the shoot arrived. Little did I know, there were FIVE models waiting for me, and a small window of time to get things done as the venue availability was limited.

Now, I am a planner by nature. I'm not a ride-or-die type girl. I want to know where we're going, how long's the trip, who is bringing snacks, and what to wear because I hate being cold... I was a Girl Scout. Being prepared is in my blood. 

This early experience taught me a lot about setting expectations, both for myself and for my clients. Because so many vendors were involved, they each had needs I wasn't aware of until after the shoot was underway. Between clothing, hair, make up, nails, air brush tan, jewelry, they all wanted shots. With so many models and so little time, it was a challenge to prioritize. 

It was a hard day. I didn't know so many models were participating, so I didn't bring an assistant or a second shooter. I hated feeling unprepared and even more than that, hated feeling like I had let the other vendors down because I wasn't dialed in to the plans!

Now I meet with EACH branding client prior to a session so that I can deliver the best possible product. I will NEVER just show up and shoot. I want to know WHO the face behind the brand is, HOW you show up for your clients and WHAT your brand's specific needs are so we can plan, style and execute the dream session. I offer a custom, hands-on approach so that I can walk away knowing I served my clients well.

what is a brand photographer?

Brand photography is intended to create targeted visual messaging that connects with a brand’s ideal client. A brand photographer specializes in working with you to understand your brand and your services or products and who your ideal client is. I then take those concepts to plan, style and create compelling, authentic imagery. 

do you direct the session & help with styling?

I do! We will work together during your pre-session consultation to develop a styling strategy, for what fits your brand and what doesn’t. You will walk away with a list of items to bring with you, many of which you already own or can source locally at little to no cost.

I DON'T HAVE AN OFFICE OR HOME THAT IS PHOTOGENIC, CAN WE STILL TAKE PHOTOS?

Not a problem! I shoot the many of my sessions outdoors or can recommend local spaces to rent for a few hours to achieve the vibe that matches your brand!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY IMAGES BACK?

This can change depending on time of year but my absolute gaurantee is a 5 week turnaround. I always aim to get them back to you sooner. what image rights will i receive?

All of my collections include digital image rights which allow you to use the images we produce across all digital platforms, such as websites, blogs, social media, paid digital advertising, email marketing campaigns and small scale print marketing. Additional image rights or copyrights are an additional purchase and are available upon request. 

what happens if it rains?

If your session is indoors and it’s not too dark outside, the party goes on. But if we are scheduled to shoot outdoors or if it is too dark & gloomy to shoot, we will reschedule! We are spoiled in California and weather is not usually an issue. If we do need to reschedule due to weather, your contract and deposit are transferrable to the new date. 

do i need props?

This depends on your brand, but for 90% of branding sessions, the answer is yes. We will utilize the tools of your trade, whether that be paint brushes, a camera, laptop, kitchen utensils, flowers, the list really is endless. Props help to visually establish your brand for your clients.
