As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was going to happen.
I am Emily!! Mom to two precious girls and a boxer pup, wildling wrangler & sunset chaser. Documenting real life emotions, relationships & moments is my passion. Every story deserves to be told. I was born & raised on the Central Coast & am blessed to be raising my family in such a beautiful place.
My favorite part of photographing weddings & families is hearing my clients' stories. How it all began. My husband & I met while we were both working at Starbucks. Our friendship grew over music & craft beer, and he inevitably swept me off my feet. Our story has grown with two little girls, and a fur child who keep our life beautifully chaotic. Our story drives me to capture the stories of others, because they are what make life beautiful.
These little wild things are the why behind my business... the wonder and joy they have for every day inspires me to document real life moments. I became a mom at nineteen and while it hasn't always been easy, it has been life's greatest adventure. They are why I am passionate about documenting children & families, because that is truly the most important part of my life.
Maybe it's because the smell of coffee will always remind me of the early days dating my husband Brandon, or maybe it's the therapeutic routine of making a cup of coffee and catching up with an old friend, but whatever the reason, a cup of coffee is medicine to my soul. I am also a self professed caffeine addict so that is definitely a contributing factor for my love of coffee dates!!
I met my husband the day I started working at Starbucks. He was the bearded guy with the sharp wit and a complete disregard for rules. What started out as a workplace friendship has now led to nine years together -two years dating, five years engaged and we were FINALLY married in fall of 2018. He is the best thing to come out of a coffee shop since espresso and I couldn't be more grateful that he is my human.
Some of my earliest childhood memories are exploring Big Sur and the rugged coastlines of California on our annual family camping trips. Continuing that legacy with my own children is as important to my soul as the fresh air and quiet. We try to go at least once a month in the summer to get away from the noise and spend time as a family, focusing on what matters most in our little world.
